Polaris just released an all new 2010 Ranger RZR 4. With help from Robbie Gordon they have developed another high performance RZR for 4 people. Many have been adding seats to the rear bed on their 2 seater UTV's that allow for 2 additional more riders but that is very unsafe. 2009 Championship Mud Racing - Race #1

We just got back from our first Mud Race of the 2009 Season. We struggled to get our bikes ready in time but we made it and came out with some great results. Race #1 was held at Carolina Adventure World in South Carolina.

We had 4 riders representing the North Carolina Powersports Team. http://www.ncpowersports.com/

We managed to win two events and brought home a second place finish. There was teams from all over the US and once again NC Powersports came home with a strong finish.

We would like to thank Can-Am for sponsoring us for the 2009 season, our bikes had minor modifications but we were able to prove that Can-Am can dominate even with the slightest modifications. There were bikes that easily had well over $15,000 invested and we took stock Can-Am Outlander 800's with pipes, clutch kits, and snorkels and was able to win atleast 6-7 heat races and 2 main events as well as a 2nd place finish.

2009 Mud Racing

Its official, NC Powersports Mud Racing (Performance East and East Carolina Powersports) powered by Can-Am X team is back on board for 2009. We will be a factory supported race team for Can-AM. We will be racing in the East Coast Mud Racing Series and in the Championship Mud Racing Series. Riders will be riding a variety of machines from Outlander 400's to Renegade 800's. Our goal is to promote the fun sport of Mud Racing while promoting our family of dealerships. 2008 brought many good things to Performance East and East Carolina and in turn we were able to increase our Can-Am sales by 130%. It also brought great turnouts for parks like www.buscobeach.com and for www.eastcoastmudracing.com or www.ncpowersports.com

Last few days of Duck Season....

I had a chance to hunt with some friends towards the end of the season and one of them brought their little boys. These are the Teague brothers from Rosewood, sons of Wade Teague. Its was cool to see how excited they were to be hunting!! I took them for a ride on the Argo and they had a blast......."Will this thing float?" is all they kept asking.

Performance East has really enjoyed training the Men and Women who serve in our Armed Forces and also the men and women from all government agencies. Above is a collage of recent December trainings with the 3rd Special Forces Group and with the Warwick, NY Fire Department. We look forward to sharing our knowledge and training expertise for 2009!!

The newest edition to the Performance East family, my son Hagan Weeks (7months old) on his first ATV ride. Actually I got tired of pulling him in his wagon so I strapped him down in the back of the ARGO and drove him around. Some may call this lazy, I call it genious!! :)

2009 Hunting Season is almost over however looking back it has been a great season. This particular hunt was in early January, just a few days ago. There were 4 of us and we had a mix bag full of mallards, teal, woodducks, ringnecks, and 2 geese. What a morning!

Anyways if you haven't heard PERFORMANCE EAST is now a ARGO amphibious atv dealer. I have been using a 2008 Argo Avenger 750 EFI and I absolutely love it for hunting. If you are looking a machine to hunt with the ARGO is the way to go. Stuff like almost zero turn capability, 8 wheel drive, ability to float, plus add a 3,000 lbs Warn winch and you have a machine that is always self recoverable. I have had experience with Kohler engines from when Polaris used them in the 2x4 Rangers and once again I did not experience any problems mechanically. At first the charging system wasn't working but that was because a fuse was missing. Anyways few my photo album Hunting Pics 2009 to see more pictures of some of the hunts I have been on.
